Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
8th Wave Media LLC (“8th Wave Media,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the 8th Wave Marketing Engine, a marketing technology platform and set of services that help businesses grow through content creation, campaign management, customer analytics, and advertising. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to marketing.8thwavemedia.com, the 8th Wave Marketing Engine platform, and related services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
Who this policy is for
We provide our Services to businesses (our “Clients”). This policy covers:
- Clients and their authorized users — the businesses and people who use the platform.
- Client customers and contacts — individuals whose information a Client brings into the platform (for example, a customer list) or whose activity is measured on a Client’s website.
- Connected account data — information from third-party platforms (such as Meta) that a Client authorizes us to access on its behalf.
When we process data on a Client’s behalf, that Client is responsible for having the right to share the data with us and for its own privacy practices toward its customers.
Information we collect
- Account and business information — name, email address, business name, and details you provide when setting up or using the platform.
- Marketing and CRM data — content you create in the platform and customer or contact information you upload or import (such as names, emails, and phone numbers).
- Website activity — when our tracking tag is installed on a Client’s website, we collect anonymous identifiers, page views, referral sources, and marketing events (for example, form submissions), used to measure marketing performance.
- Connected platform data — with a Client’s authorization, we access data from third-party services through their official APIs. This may include advertising accounts and performance metrics, ad campaigns, Facebook Pages, Instagram business accounts, and related insights. We access only what the Client authorizes.
- Usage and technical data — log data, IP address, browser and device information, and timestamps generated when using the Services.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
- Create and manage marketing content, campaigns, and landing pages.
- Measure and report on marketing and advertising performance.
- Display dashboards and analytics to the Client.
- Communicate with you about your account and provide support.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Meta Platform data
When a Client connects a Meta account (Facebook, Instagram, or Meta Ads) through Facebook Login for Business, we access Meta data only with the Client’s explicit authorization and only to provide the Services to that Client. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared with other Clients. We use Meta data in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, and we limit our use to the permissions granted. A Client can revoke our access at any time (see “Your choices and data deletion”). If access is revoked or an account is disconnected, we stop accessing that Meta data.
How we share information
- Service providers — we use trusted vendors for hosting, storage, and AI content processing. They may process data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only as needed to provide the Services.
- Third-party platforms — where a Client connects an external platform (such as Meta or Google), we exchange data with that platform through its official APIs, subject to that platform’s terms.
- Legal and safety — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services.
- Business transfers — information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use Meta data for advertising unrelated to the connecting Client.
Data storage and security
We store data with reputable hosting providers and apply administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect it. Connected-account credentials and access tokens are encrypted at rest, and each Client’s data is logically isolated. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and continually improve our safeguards.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion at any time.
Your choices and data deletion
- Access and correction — you may request access to, or correction of, your information.
- Disconnect a platform — a Client can disconnect any connected account from the platform’s Connections page at any time, which revokes our ongoing access.
- Revoke Meta access directly — in Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations and remove 8th Wave Media Marketing.
- Delete your data — see our Data Deletion page, or email cameron@8thwavemedia.com.
Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
